Acrobat is physical job and having the Athletic trait helps, but doesn't give a direct boost. That is, no trait will give you a specific boost to the singer, magician, or acrobat career track. Strangely, there are no traits specific to the professions, unlike the traits introduced in Ambitions. Lanette's other traits are centered around being friendly and intelligent. With no downside, it's fantastic if you're aiming to be a star. This gives her a buff whenever she's performing onstage, increasing her tips and job experience. Lanette isn't taking that one, but she is taking the other new trait, Natural Born Performer. It's pretty well balanced and favors Sims who socialize a lot, making it especially useful for families. She'll get a debuff if she goes too long unnoticed, but the trade-off is that the Soical Meter will rise (and fall) faster than normal. One is called Social Butterfly, which gives a buff when a Sim is having a conversation with others, especially if she's the center of attention, such as the one telling a story in a conversation, or the one leading a group interaction. There are two new traits for this expansion. As such, any positive traits for socialization, such as Friendly or Charismatic (or both), are extremely useful. Regardless of your chosen career, friendliness and socialization will play a large part in success. As always, you can play and succeed with any combination of traits, but certain combinations make it easier than others. Lanette, in addition to looking smoking hot, has strategically selected her traits.
